The organiser's website says "The Headington 5 is a fast 5M loop - it starts and finishes in Boults Lane recreation ground, approximately 400 metres from the Race HQ, and takes in the tracks on the Northern bypass and the Marston Ferry Road - it is largely free of traffic".
.
The above map is taken from the organiser's website
The route is in 5 sections. It begins with a wander round the picturesque village of Old Marston.
There is then a long straight on the cycle-path/footpath alongside the A40.
The route then meanders through a housing estate
before returning along a cycle-path/footpath alongside the Marston Ferry Road.
The final section is a short section in Old Marston.
The route uses two underpasses to avoid crossing the Marston Ferry Road.
The 2021 Headington 5 Race took place on Sun Aug 29th. The race had UKA licence 2020-39337. It is one of the races of the Oxfordshire AA Road Race Grand Prix.
