2019 Launton Lollop

As very few races are taking place at the moment, I'm creating some web pages entitled "where I was taking photos this time last year". Today, I'm looking at the Launton Lollop which takes place from Launton, a village that is on the eastern outskirts of Bicester.

The organiser's website says "the Launton Lollop uses an interesting course around the paths, fields and roads of the village of Launton. 2019 was the third year that this race has been held. You can also walk the route - there are two pubs on route - why not stop for a pint!! Dogs are welcome on the walk but if you see livestock in the field please keep dogs on a lead and under control." Last year's race took place on Sun Sep 6th 2019. I haven't seen a date for this year's race - I guess it was cancelled because of Covid-19.

The second photo shows Richard being a bit more serious on the second lap!

Loes Koorenhof (60, unattached) was the 2nd female finishing in a time of 49.2.
The second photo shows her dog not keeping to the route on the 2nd lap! And Loes was still the 2nd woman!!
