As races are not taking place at the moment, I'm creating some web pages entitled "where I was taking photos this time last year". Today, I'm looking at the 2019 Hornton Classic 6.
The organiser's website says the "Hornton Classic 6 is Cherwell Runners and Joggers’s very own race held annually at Hornton village which is 6M NorthWest of Banbury. The race was first held in 1994 with only 25 starters. It is now part of the Oxon Road Race Grand Prix series of races and 150 or more turn up to run this scenic and undulating course through the picturesque villages of Hornton and Horley. There are changing facilities, free car parking with drinks and refreshments available after the race. For the last few years there has also been free over-night camping where everyone is welcome to stay, but please bear in mind that there are limited facilities. We also hold a 'Bring your own Burger'".
Last year's race took place on Saturday July 20th 2019 and this year's race was to have taken place today (Saturday July 18th 2020). Unfortunately, because of the corona virus, it has had to be cancelled.
By the way, you can click on any of the photos on this web page to see the photo in hi-res.

The above map is an extract of the map produced by the course measurer.
The start/finish is at the Village Green which means there is about a 350m long gentle rise before the first steep hill.
There is then a gentle down followed by a not-so-gentle up.
It's then flat for a short while before a big dip.
This flattish bit starts at 2K and lasts for about 3K
- if it's been raining a lot recently,
there'll be a point where you'll have to run through very shallow water that stretches from one side of the road to the other!
At 3M, it's steep down into Horley but that is immediately followed by a long gentle climb through and out of the village.
From 4M, it's reasonably flat for about 1.5M.
The race ends with 0.5K fast down hill back to the Village Green.

If you did the Hornton Classic 6 in 2019 and want a reminder, then here's a link to all the photos that I took. There's a calculator on that web page that makes it easy to find the photos of a runner given their time and you can find the time from the results web page.
If you want to see the reviews I've done on other races, then here's a link to a web page that includes an index of the reviews of races.
I'm planning for my next review to be of the 2019 Waddesdon Manor Summer 5K. I hope to post that on Wednesday (July 22nd 2020).
In normal times, I maintain a web page for runners that provides a list of races near Oxfordshire and the latest results. Visit www.oxonraces.com and follow @oxonraces
